Malagan Hotel, May, 1995. "Rob, the local dive guide working out of the hotel has discovered a B25 WWII fighter completely intact at 40 feet. The wreck is intact including the tail gun camera. Rob is planning on removing and developing the film that is no doubt destroyed after 50 years. The hotel was comfortable but there were obvious managerial problems that culminated in the hotel manager and his wife quitting the day we left. Diving is similar to Walindi with limited visibility but large varieties of hard and soft coral, tropical fish and pelagics. Excellent for experienced divers. Couple of sharks, turtles. Water 80 degrees, visibility 40100 ft." Steve Chandler, San Marino, CA

Walindi Plantation, May, 1995. "Visibility was limited during the beginning of the dry season. The plantation was attractive and well landscaped and maintained. The bures were not air conditioned which would have been nice, especially during this time of year known as the 'doldrums' when the trade winds are minimal or nonexistent. The rides to the dive sites were 45 minutes to one and a half hours, leaving at 9:00a.m. and returning at 3:004:00 p.m. Sharks on every dive, calm, some current, water 88 degrees, visibility 6075 feet." Steve Chandler, San Marino, CA
