Blue Reef Divers, February, 1995. "Relaxed diving; fantastic wreck: Stavronikita; equipment in good condition; discount for using our own BC and regulators. Boats slow but roomy; dive operators safety conscious. Limited shore diving because of in-accessibility of tanks. Overall was good diving." Cliff Plouse, Oakfield, NY Exploresub, December, 1994. "Barbados is perfect for diver/nondiver couples as there is really a lot to do besides diving. All the dive sites are good but two wrecks are excellent: 1) Stavronikita, for its size (356 ft.) and beauty; 2) Berwyn for its macrophoto opportunities. The water was warm (8082 degrees, visibility 80100 feet. Some sites could be boring for experienced divers." Alessandro Usai, TourinnesSt. Lt., Belgium Underwater Barbados, Sam Lords Castle, March, 1995. "Sam Lord's at the other side of the island; Michael, the owner of Underwater Barbados, picked me up every day at the requested time. The dive operation was accommodating; small boat and short trips to the dive sites. They are all close to the shore. . . . Overall diving was OK. There were mostly small fish and invertebrates. A must dive is sunken ship Stavronikita. You can swim through it. It is still intact and the best wreck I've ever dived."
