Dining on Utila
« on: March 02, 2010, 16:20:26 UTC »
Hi All,
I will making my first trip to Utila for a week on March 19th.  Does anyone have any recommendations on where to eat and drink when not diving?

Thanks,
Josh

Depends a lot on your age and budget but check out this link for a great list of what's available for dining: http://utilaguide.com/Utila_Guide_Announcements/services/restaurants/

My personal favorites are RJ's and the Driftwood for complete meals. Kate's Piccola is very good also.
If you want to party and are under 40 the Tranquila and Coco Loco and Bar in the Bush are the places.

You can't get lost on Utila so just cruise around until your nose and ears tell you where to stop.

Enjoy the island and go easy on the throw away plastic containers!

Thanks for the great advice.  I'm looking forward to making my first trip there.  I appreciate the comment on the plastic containers too.  I always try minimize my impact.

Cheers,
Josh
