Bonne Terre mine
« on: August 29, 2009, 22:08:30 UTC »
Has anyone been to the Bonne Terre mines?  It is a lead mine that was abandoned in the '60's.  500,000 watts of lights.  1 billion gallons of limestone purified water.  58 degree water.  100' vis.  I was thinking of making the drive to check it out and was wondering if anyone had experienced it.

I've made about 20 dives over the years, but the last time was about 10 years ago.  Depending on how long of a drive you have, it is definitely worth it.  We've been thinking of going again during the winter months and it is about a 7 hour drive for us.
