Boggie Pond-Arthurs Town, Cat Island Bahamas
« on: July 24, 2009, 15:49:31 UTC »
Just returned from Cat Island and if you are looking for a secret international hotspot this is the place. Boggie Pond is a small resort located in Arthur's Town on the northern point of the Island. While we were there we drank beer and swapped stories with Bahamians, South Africans, Germans, British, Italians and of course American adventurers. And I do mean adventurers. No fancy stuff here. Just the stuff you read about in adventure novels.

The food is good, the beer is cold and the diving outstanding with the longest continuous reef in the western hemisphere. It is also a place where the pilots love to visit. There is a 7000 ft. runway, terminal building with customs(By prior arrangements) and a short walk to the resort.

I strongly recommend it as a truly unique destination.
