Head Lamps
« on: April 08, 2009, 22:28:29 UTC »
I am looking at headlamps to make night diving a little easier. Anybody have any experience with the Pelican 2680 or the S-Sun models?

Useful when both hands are occupied there are drawbacks to head mounted lights for scuba diving. If the water has particulates you get a "driving in the snow at night" effect from back-scatter.  If you look at your dive buddy's face you ruin his night vision. Several companies offer elastic or metal mounts called Goodman handles that slip over your hand.
