Seeking Barbados Info
« on: July 08, 2008, 19:48:52 UTC »
In September 2008 I'll be taking a group of divers to Barbados.  Since I've never been there, I would appreciate receiving any possible info about the island and surrounding waters.

Went diving there in 2000 for 7 days.  Very nice Caribbean diving!!  typical reef fish, plus loads of beautiful sponges and corals.

Do take note that a lot of the good reef diving starts at around 60 to 70 feet.  We did quite a bit of planned decompression diving.

Stavronikita is an excellent wreak if the visibility is good; did it twice in the week and it was much better the second time due to less current and higher vis.

Turtle research group on the island that catches, tags and releases turtles.  Went out with us once during the week.

Was a great trip!
