El Cozmeleno and dive operators
« on: October 15, 2008, 01:28:34 UTC »
I am planning a trip to Cozumel in April and we are staying at the El Cozmeleno.  I know they have a dive shop on premises, but it looks like it has a restrictive dive policy (time).  Does anyone know of any other dive operators on the north end of the island who will pick you up at the hotel?

Ocean Tours ( is onsite at the El Cozumeleno.  Mooooo.

Also serving the north end are Pepe Scuba at the neighboring Coral Princess ( and Scuba Du (

You should find these less restrictive & more fun.  They do real SCUBA.

The El Coz is a nice property.  check out Aldora for diving their villas are not that far from the El Coz they should be able to pick you up there.  I have been with the op from the El Coz but it is a cattle boat and for the distance to the south reefs not worth it.   When we dove with Aldora average time was 70-90 minutes depending on your air consumption.  Very personal service.  The small 6-pack boats do not have camera facilities - bring a towel you can do a rinse at the S/I on shore.  They are not the cheapest date in town but I consider them the best.    Divers are put with equal skilled for your entire trip.  web is  Memo and his team ensure you have the best diving experience.  After going to Coz for 12 or so times I would not consider diving with anyone else
