Comments This is one of two Dive Ops on the western part of the island near Cruz Bay. This boat operates out of the Westin St John resort. A small boat take 8 or so divers to sites in the Sir Francis Drake Channel, the Pillsbury Sound and other very local waters. The dive sites are a 15-20 mines boat ride.
Lots of variation in the underwater terrain. Cuts, Canyons, Ledges. Mounds, tongue and Groove. Lots of reef fish, turtles on most dives, eels and all the other usual suspects.
The restaurants are fabulous, the Hotels beautiful, and there are many beaches especially out east where you might be alone on the beach.
The one flaw with this op is the speed of the whole adventure. The boat leaves about 8:45 and is back after two dives by 11:30. Too fast for me. Mike the DM and James the captain were knowledgeable and helpful.
The Westin St. John Resort is first class. Period!
