Comments Next time we will use Nitrox!! And hope that my new Suunto dive computer works well.
We took the advice of local divers and joined a boatload with Pura Vida Divers. The boat was completely full and we were elbow to elbow as we geared up and sat to wait for the dive. Their method was to work from the stern forward and we all got in the water fairly quickly. There was a dive guide but most of us dived our own dive. That day the current was running and a photographer had to find a protected spot to take any useful pictures.
We dived Juno Ledges, than North Double Ledges. Both were in the 90-foot range. Divers with Nitrox and less conservative computers had substantially longer bottom times than I did diving on air with an Aladin Pro.
On the way back to port we ran through a squall and visibility dropped to maybe 50 feet - in air.
A safety sausage was essential when we ended our dives. Better yet would be one on a line that could be filled and flown while we were still below the surface.
There were snacks and drinks on board for us.
There were some rinse facilities back on shore.
