Comments Went there for 3 days of diving on a trip arranged by my dive retailer. We had been there 2 years ago and never got past the opening of the harbor since a hurricane well offshore was sending in big swells and the visibility was zilch. Tried again this year and had better luck. Olympus is a great operation and is well-organized and safe. Rides out to the divesites are about 2 hours long and conditions and other dive boats tying onto the wrecks ahead of you can mean you do not always do the dive you are hoping for. Indeed, our weather, while better than our 2011 trip, was not ideal. Still, we dove some awesome wrecks and saw plenty of sand tiger sharks and large schools of fish. Their main boat is roomy but with 20+ divers aboard on some days, it can seem crowded. We'll be back next year when will dive on weekdays to avoid crowds.
