Comments Last week I had the chance of doing some wreck diving in North Carolina. The diving is hit and miss depending on currents, surface winds, overall weather, and visibility. But when it all comes together it is incredible diving. There are many magnificent wrecks due to U boat activity during World War 2. And since they stopped long line fishing for sharks in the area, the shark population has rebounded wonderfully, with many of the wrecks supporting great shark diving opportunities. The sharks are docile and magnificent to view in their natural environment. There is no need for chumming to attract the sharks here, these are all natural interactions. We also saw large loggerhead turtles, did our safety stops among schools of great barracuda, and had the marvelous opportunity of snorkeling with wild dolphins. I was thrilled on many occaisions to be with the sharks on these rugged wrecks while being swarmed by incredibly thick schools of baitfish. Incredible! I went diving with the Olympus Dive Center in Morehead City, and also with Outer Banks Diving, Hattaras, North Carolina. See my small sample video on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ueSzlHFtjE
