Comments Five divers and a 2 and 4 year old were on this trip. We had 3 new divers looking for a long weekend trip from Chicago as well as two small children to entertain. This trip worked well for everyone. The new divers got a view of diving other than midwest quarries, the resort facilities and surrounding attractions kept the children happy, and the two experienced divers found enough to make the dives interesting. Best was the service from the crew of the It's a Dive operation. They were professional always, but very friendly and always ready to answer a question or provide help on the ride out and back. The Spiegel Grove was an interesting wreck but a strong current kept it challenging until we were protected by the wreck. Since we held tight onto the line all the way down, a pair of gloves would have made the trip more comfortable. The reef dives were shallow (30ft) with lots of clusters of coral and small fish. It was an easy place to just sit in one place and watch. The water was warm and very comfortable without a wetsuit.
Overall it was a quick trip that met everyones expectations.
