Comments An old favorite just gets better. We live locally and Starfish has always been a favorite in an area that has lots of dive boats to choose from. Reef dives from Lake Worth south to Delray including all of Boynton Beach are the main attraction with several wrecks available by request. Depths range from 50 to 80 feet on some of the nicest reefs in Florida, many with spectacular relief, ledges and swim throughs.
Good spiney lobster hunting in season and often more fish than we have seen in many exotic destinations.
Recent invasion of Lionfish even gives divers an opportunity to see south Pacific species without having a passport. This trip was in August, but winter diving here can provide surprise visits from large pelagic species and even whales, turtles are a regular reef attraction year round.
Captain Craig Smart and DM Linda both have years of experience in the area, they are safety conscious and professional without becoming dive Gestapo, divers are respected and allowed to dive within their training and skill limitations.
Previously located in Lantana on Ocean Ave. behind the Old Key Lime House restaurant, Starfish has recently moved to slip #11 in the marina in Boynton Beach near Two Georges and Banana Boat restaurants on Casa Loma Blvd. This is a big improvement for divers with much nicer shore facilities and indoor parking. If you have visited south Florida in August you can appreciate what that means after a two tank dive!
Divers who own their own tanks will also be happy to know that Starfish has recently acquired state of the art membrane nitrox filling equipment and offers very competitive rates on fills.
Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.
