The Ocean Rover is a great live aboard, with incredible attention to detail
and extremely courteous staff. They went out of their way to accommodate
our needs. The boat is very comfortable with many extras (the push button
espresso maker on the sun deck was a real hit)! The diving was very
interesting: some of the Thailand sites were very interesting but very
crowded; the Burma sites were also interesting but had much lower
visibility (and of course no other boats were there). Some of the best
dives occurred upon our return to Thailand (early morning before the other
dive boats arrived). Overfishing has results in fewer large fish, but some
great macro shots were available! The dive masters and cruise director
went out of their way to show interesting features. Our only
disappointment was the food was a little too oriented towards beef and pork
and was a little too greasy for our tastes (no chicken was available as the
avian flu removed all the chicken from the markets). Another highlight was
the trip to Angkor Watt we took beforehand -- a must see experience.
