The diving sites were not very deep. I believe the deepest was about 80
feet. I used my computer for all the dives and stayed in the water until
the air was low or it said I had to surface. Most dives lasted at least 55
minutes.

The dive operation ran on Caribbean time. We were supposed to be picked up
at 9:30. Anytime before 10 seemed ok after a while. I learned to relax.
Once they realized you knew what you were doing, you were very free in the
water. In fact, that was wonderful for an experienced diver. I could wander
around somewhat. No one watched my depth gauge or my air. I stayed under
water until the air was low or my computer said to surface. When I entered
the water, I waited on the bottom for the rest of the group to come down
instead of having to wait on the surface. It was great. For a novice diver,
there were currents in most dive spots. They would watch you very carefully
but I don't think it's an ideal sport for a beginner. One problem was that
there were several different dive locations with a few being magnificent
and a couple being fair at best. I learned to speak up and they stopped
going to the fair spots. If you say something , they are nice. Halfway
though the trip , I gave them a tip and told them more would follow and I
think that encourages them to go to the better places. The resort at Palm
Island is a luxory resort that is wonderful.
