Comments Excellent for macro life. Abundance of numerous, small and unusual critters I had not seen anywhere else. Muck diving near the resort yielded sightings of ornate and robust ghost pipe fish, many frogfish of various colors and sizes, a wide variety of splendid nudibranchs, octopus, cuttlefish (including flamboyant), seahorses, pipefish, kraits, morays, various lionfish, garden eels, variety of tiny crabs and shrimp that would take a page to name, crocodile fish, and mandarin fish spawning on an evening dive.

At Balicasag Island, a half hour trip away, more of the same, plus anemone of various colors and anemone fish, turtles, many large schools, especially jacks and reef fish. Very healthy hard and soft corals.

The resort has beautiful accommodations, excellent food, and the friendliest staff I've experienced anywhere. May was a perfect time to visit, following the windy season, when the sea can be choppy, and before the rainy season. Sea temperature was 83-85 F., a 3 mm wetsuit all that's needed. Although we brought our own gear, they rent top quality equipment.
