Comments Atlantis runs a first class shore-based operation with excellent food but slightly lower quality than the near 5 star fare of a year ago.Puerto Galera had a little tension in the wonderful staff, because of management's attempt to make changes probably to lower costs. There was a difference in the atmosphere(better) in Dumaquete versus Puerto Galera which is one of the reasons why more of our divers preferred Dumaqute. I returned for the 3RD year in row to Puerto Galera and 2cd time to Dumaguette. Dive operation is wonderful with tanks set up and broken down. Tremendous muck diving with macro dominating the pictures. Dozens of fish like ornate ghost pipefish and luninescent cuttlefish made each dive an experience. Finished the trip on our offgas day by swimming with 5 whalesharks on the sister island of Cebu at Oslob. It may change their behavior, but having been to Holbox for whale sharks, this was better. Needless to say our Dave Haas photo group from all over the US and Canada got both lots of photos and about 50 dives for the two weeks.

UW Photo Comments Best camera rooms in my diving career. Good space plus sufficient plugs for our 35 photo divers out of our group of 39 divers. With Dave Haas leading the group it shouldn't surprise anyone.
