Spent 3 diving days (7 dives) on Yap as part of a 2 week trip to Yap/Truk.
3 dives were to observe the manta rays; 60' sitting in the sand observing
the mantas at a cleaning station. Definitly the signature dive for Yap. Saw
up to 4 mantas at a time with the largest a 20' wing span.

We did convince the dive guide to take us outside the barrier reef for wall
diving. These were awesome dives with viz over 150 feet. There is coral
damage from a typhoon several years ago, but still well worth the time.
Verical walls and sloping hard coral reefs; some surge on top, but overall
easy dive for all but the very inexperienced diver.

The resort was clean and the service excellent with a friendly staff. The
resturant is a 100 yr old schooner moored at the resort. Ok food, but
somewhat over priced. One evening they show movies on a white board mounted
on the mast; popular with the locals and fun.

Would definitly go back for up to a week with dives outside the reef.
