I live here and dive every week. I rarely see anything in print about
diving on the north side of the island. North side diving is excellent
when trade winds are not blowing, usually March or April through
September-November. Treelodge and Nautilus both routinely dive on the
north side. If you are willing to dive in moderate to strong current, then
you are very likely to see at least a few sharks & barracuda on pretty
much every dive. If someone in the group is not comfortable in current,
then "big critters" are less likely. Dolphins are often seen in
the summer months along the north-northeast side, they will play with the
boat--includes spinning dolphins.

The hotels vary in style from thatched roofed local style houses, cottages
in the mangroves, to a modest, but extremely clean and pleasant 16 room
hotel. The three main hotels all have restaurants now. No spectacular
food, but you won't be here for the food.
