Comments This was our first experience with Manta in Cabo San Lucas. We went diving with them in the area near the Cabo iconic rock formation, El Arco. Our dive guide, Kiki, set up our equipment. The boat ride from the Marina to the dive site was about ten minutes. The sun was hot and the water was refreshing. We dove at two sites – the first Pelican Rock and the second, North Wall. The sites were only several hundred feet apart, so quite similar. The terrain is rocky and the “coral” is patchy coral on rocks. There were many starfish, eels, puffer fish, blennies, and hawkfish. There were swarms of fish, in fact, at Pelican Rock, we were amazed by a moving wall of fish about 30 feet high and just as wide and deep. The water was murky and the shy fish wouldn’t let us get close enough to take a good look- still an impressive sight. Between dives, we just cruised around in the boat for a view of the Pacific from the Sea of Cortez. The dive operation, Manta, was good and we were pleased with their service.
