Comments I went on back to back week long trips on a "Dive the World" special rate. June is NOT the best time to go, the first week it rained almost every day and at times the normally incredible visibility was reduced to 30 feet or less. This has to do with a reverse in the direction of the currents going though the channels between the atolls. When it's coming into the atoll system the vis is good, when it's going out, it's bad. There were undoubtedbly large pelagics, we just couldn't see them. Inside tip is August through October is the best time.

At times the currents were some of the strongest I have ever encountered.

Week 2 the weather was great. We had numerous Manta sightings and fairly close encounters several days in a row. MASSIVE swarming schools of reef fish, white tips. Saw one blacktip shark from far away during the whole trip. (shark finning was banned only recently) Napoleon Wrasse. Giant Trevally.

The coral and macro life was not on the same level of diversity as in Sipadan. That said, the reefs were in great shape dense and beautiful covered in soft corals, anenomes, large hard corals, sea fans, clams. I spotted a tiny pink frogfish on a night dive.

The boat is a large, pretty luxurious sailboat. All dives were conducted from the tender "Dhoni" boats. The dive crew and staff were absolutely top notch.

Very hard to get hard alcohol and bacon. If you desire either, try and call ahead. A good value, but for the distance I would consider indo/malaysia instead.
