We had a great trip on this, our third Aggressor--they emphasize safety,
comfort and effortless diving. Captain Nestor was a bundle of energy and
made the trip even more special. All the divemasters were excellent and
Luis especially was very helpful for photographers and nervous divers. All
dives are from the dive deck which is quite large so that at least two
divers can exit at the same time. The dive deck also had two hot showers
with shampoo and conditioner right there! Accommodations were fine; a 3/4
bed and a top bunk, private sink, shower and toilet. Food was outstanding.
Best of all, the reefs were very healthy. Lovely soft corals and sponges,
schools of fish, octopus, barracuda and quite a bit of macro life. Captain
Nestor adeptly avoided rough water due to high winds, and we dove some
interesting sites (wrecks, tunnels, etc.) at Roatan and Utila and sea
mounts in between. The only negatives were the air conditioning vent
placed right over the top bunk, and inconsistent AC in the dining area and
galley. Also, more than one diver had an o-ring pop just as they entered
the water. And the boat does roll quite a bit. But we highly recommend
this boat, crew and dive sites.
