Comments We stayed at Volivoli 4 nights and dove with Ra Divers, their on-site dive operation, three days. Volivoli is a family owned and operated resort with a more modern look to it. Every room has a nice ocean view. The food is excellent and they have a great Friday night Fijian Culture Program, as well as, an opportunity to try kava on Thursday nights. There were groups of 6-10 people diving every day during our visit. The Ra Dive operation dive masters and boat captains were from local villages and they exhibited a nice blend of professionalism and Fijian helpfulness. It was interesting that one of the owners also served as a dive master on every trip, but that may have been because there were international travel agents on the boat. We had a chance to do both drift and wall-pinnacle dives. The diving was outstanding! Sometimes the currents were strong, but that was when we saw the most pelagics. A reef hook would have come in handy on one dive as the current was ripping, but there were plenty of areas in the lee of the coral head to watch and photograph the hordes of reef fish swimming in and out of the thickets of stag and elk horn corals. For some reason, this is the one area where the sharks seemed to be going about their lives in the most natural manner with little care or concern about what the divers were doing.

I need to mention that they dive the same sites as Wananavu we just had better weather while we were at Volivoli and were able to get to more of the primo sites while we were diving with Volivoli.
