Crystal Divers provides the consumate dive service. Dan and his staff are
knowledgeable, friendly, and thoroughly professional. On one occasion, Dan
even "towed" my mother around snorkeling on one of the sites
while we went diving with the other dive masters! Dive boat is basic but
fast. Gets you to liveaboard sites, which are 10+ miles offshore. We had
rough rides but was worth it. Corals (hard and soft) fantastic. As good
as Indonesia (soft corals better). Little evidence of bleaching. Fish
life is varied and plentiful but not as diverse as Indonesia (which is what
you'd expect). On the right sites with the right current, you'll see
plenty of schooling and predatory fish (jacks, barracuda, sharks, tuna,
mackeral, etc.). Critter life is okay but who knows, maybe we had bad
luck. Most of the diving is on submerged sea mounts that rise to within
five to ten feet of surface making for great extended safety stops.
Definitely five star diving!!

Wananavu nice, clean, and beautifully landscaped but doesn't have much to
much to offer in the way of activities on site (snorkeling very poor, not a
very nice beach, nowhere to really explore). They do offer day trips to
the offshore islands where the snorkeling is a little better. Can also
arrange other day tours. Staff friendly, helpful and food is very good.
Great for families...Fijians love kids...babysitters great! Next time
though, I'd rent a house on the offshore island where Crystal Divers is
located.

Bottom line: Crystal Divers knows how to deliver high quality diving. I
think it compares favorably with some of my favorite Pacific Diving I've
done thus far.
