Comments This was my fourth trip to Cozumel but my first stay at Scuba Club. It is walking distance to town and the local supermarket. The food was excellent and Mario cooks up a mean banana flambe. My only complaint was the rock hard beds. Some divers apparently bring air mattresses with them to compensate for the beds. I'll know better next time.

I can't say enough about the dive operation and dive staff. They were very friendly and helpful in all respects and totally professional in the water. The dive operation is located onsite and boats leave from the resort pier every morning at 0830. Dive lockers and rinse tanks are readily available for cleanup. The dive package included unlimited shore diving but with the currents as strong as they were, I did only one shore dive. The reefs at Cozumel are just now starting to recover from hurricane Wilma last year. There is still much sand covering the coral even at 80 ft and driving much of the aquatic life has gone into deeper waters. There were no sightings of seahorses from any of the boats. The encouraging thing I noticed were the large numbers of juvenile fish including spotted drums, angel fish, eels, rays, etc. As the reef recovers, I'm sure the adults will return to the shallower waters for all to see. IT was a great trip and I would happily return to Scuba Club in the future.
