Roberto and his wife Michaela run a tight and timely and safety minded
operation. Pick ups at the dock at 740 a.m in a fast 6 pack means you are
one of the first at the sites. Steel 120's mean all dives exceed one hour
with a good hour plus surface interval at Playa Palancar. You can follow
Roberto or Jorge both great DM's, or you can do your own thing. However,
you must notify DM when you have 1000 psi and can not drift in front of the
DM. A dive computer is also needed. All entries are backward rolls. No
giant strides here. This is a operation for upper intermediate to advanced
divers only. As usual the diving was great. One very notable dive was
Devils Throat. A big coral that has some very dark swim throughs, a chimney
and even a cathedral looking room with what looks like a coral cross. You
come out on the wall at 135 feet then swim back through the many passages,
always following the DM. The service was great and all in the operation
speak fluent English. Roberto and Michaela go out of their way to see you
have a great dive trip. This was my second trip to Cozumel in the past 10
years and I have stayed at Plaza Las Glorias both times. Decient rooms that
are clean and walking distance to town. It is my understanding the hotel
has been sold, so I do not know what the future there holds.
