Cozumel is drift diving - that alone limits your ability to get a decent
shot...need to "see it coming" as you won't be able to hover or
go back for the majority of shots.

Fiestamerica is a well maintained hotel. The staff was exceptonal and could
not have been more helpful. Rooms were very clean and serviced every day.
Water was provided daily. There are 3 restaurants (1 Mexican, 1 General and
1 Italian-sit down menu). The two buffet (Mexican, General) were hard to
tell apart with their menu. Selections were the same almost every day and
often the foods was warm at best. Its part of the all inclusive package.
The food was OK, certainly not great. The sit down Italian restaurant was
closed most of the week for a conference. The two nights we did eat there
the food was very good as well as the service. The soups in all the
restaurants were outstanding.
Dive House which was the dive operation was good. Always someone on the
boat, 2 divemasters in the water at all times. Pretty much allowed you to
dive your own profile but as it was drift diving the group pretty much
stays together. Did not terminate dives for low on air early divers and
continued the dive for others.
In summary I would stay again at Fiesta and use the Dive House operation.
Wyndham is a step up from a hotel standpoint but also generally more
expensive if you are looking for an alternative.
