None really; we dove in small groups and were expected to not do anything stupid. |

Small boats had no camera rinse tanks and wouldn't be a friendly environment for opening housings, changing batteries, memory cards, etc. That being said, my simple system did just fine for the 2 AM dives without having to be opened or otherwise manipulated. |

Aldora Divers rocks. They have fast boats, dove in small groups, took us to sites we requested, and didn't try to babysit us. The level of service is far above average, with deep long dives (our last day's dives were 80 and 90 minutes underwater), timely transport, long relaxing surface intervals at Playa Mia or Playa Sol, and parkas for wind protection after the dive. They group divers according to skill and experience, and those with experience and air/bouyancy control were free to dive without being restricted by others. Definitely not a cattle boat operation; been on those and don't miss it a bit. This was our 4th trip to Cozumel and we've finally discovered how to "do" Cozumel right. Aldora Villa was likewise awesome. A very quaint and personal touch added by Greg & Kay. Nice, clean, QUIET accomodations just north of town; sunning area/shore entry/palapa/dock pickup/small pool on the premises. No town, cruise ship, or tourist noise. Free wireless internet connection in your room, free internet phone calls, cable TV in rooms. Room service breakfast available for 5$. Going into town is a 3$ cab ride. Gear rinsing/drying area on premises. Overall very impressed with both accomodations and dive operation; can't wait to return with friends! |
