Comments This was our third trip diving with DiveTech and our second trip in a year staying at Cobalt Coast. We really enjoy the experience of feeling like friends rather than customers. Our first trip was just the two of us and this trip included six others. The resort is small and out of the way. This leads to a home-like environment. The food is very good and the staff went out of their way to provide for special dietary needs. Arie, the owner, even made a special dessert for us one night.

As for the dive operation, I appreciate the fact that they treat you as the independent, competent diver you were trained to be. Safety and environmental protection are top priorities. The staff provides the service you need but doesn't bother you with unneeded or unwanted "service" like pointing out a Pederson cleaning shrimp at the end of a dive on which you have seen dozens. They allow you the freedom to handle your own gear the way you want to handle it. I felt that the DM's were available if you needed them but they did not interfere with my dive experience, as have some at other operations.

This is an excellent dive resort for divers who enjoy an independent diving experience.
