Comments Probably the easiest diving format I've ever experienced in a resort. Dive lockers right on the pier were fantastic. Boats were never loaded to the max or crowded - even though it was high season and resort was full. Boat ride times were usually kept to a minimum, but Bonaire is that way! I would not have minded to got o Klien Bonaire - just off our dock every day! I was so "busy" with the easy diving on the boats of the dive shop, that I did not get a chance to do much shore diving. Maybe next visit.
Negatives: with more large cruise ships coming in, there is less time/slots available to dive the downtown pier, so since you have to have a resevation to dive the pier now, I did not get a chance to do that. There were four VERY lARGE ships (only one at a time) the week we were there. Locals are starting to complain about the influx of these "cruisers". No other effect on diving.
Overall, one of the easiest trips I ever had and great chance to work on photography skills with the lack of current and plenty of great subjects in the water.
We rented a truck all week, so visited all kinds of restaurants rather than eat at the Flamingo resort all week. Always had a wonderful 7 AM breakfast buffet before the moring dive and usually ate lunch there.

UW Photo Comments Used some very helpful advice from Brenda York, manager of the on-site Capture Photo facility. Full-service photo shop, video, instruction, analysis. They hold a weekly customer photo contest, great support to the dive operation without getting in the way. Boat staff were all very protective of camera gear, dive masters were very helpful in pointing out critters, handing you equipment. Overall, Bonaire is a photographer's delight, and Capture Photo and the staff at Divi were all wonderful.
