Comments	At Gladden Spit I swam 10 feet from a 25 foot whale shark for 6 minutes, beginning on the surface and continuing down to 80 feet. I stopped at 80 feet because this is the depth limit imposed at Gladden Spit. The whale shark swam along at a slow pace, he almost seemed to enjoy the company. On May 1 and 2, at Gladden Spit only a few people got a one time brief glance of a whale shark. But on May 3 we had 3 seperate 25 foot whale sharks come to our group of 15 divers. The divemaster did a great job of pointing out the whale shark that was on the surface right above us. At first glance I thought it was another small dive boat. There were schools of thousands of snapper down at 90 feet or so, they were exciting to see especially when they started their spawning behavior. We also saw a dolphin swimming up and down in a school of snapper. On another day we made a visit to Glovers Reef with Splash Divers. It was a 1 hour boat ride, but it was a pristine reef. We saw a 10 foot green moray eel swimming in the open water and then curve with S shaped curves as he swam through the side of the reef.
