Comments After reading various reviews of Cove's operations, I did not have terribly high expectations. It is a large operation, but I had several days to kill before a photo shoot.

I was very pleasantly surprised. While this is a large operation, my dives with Stuart Cove were very fun and entertaining. There were no time restrictions, and the shark dives were very good.

Having dived with Great Whites, I initially felt the Carribean White Tipped dives were way over-hyped. While these are fairly mellow sharks, there is a lot of action, and the sharks to bump into you. They are not aggressive towards the divers, they are trying to get to the food.

On our dive a shark latched onto the sync cables of the Cove photographer and summarily destroyed them. I had a bit of a problem with flash positioning because the sharks would bump into my strobes and strobe arms.

Bring wide angle and fish eye lenses! We had so much fun it is back again next year.

UW Photo Comments My rig is a large DSLR (Nikon D300, Subal housing, twin Ikelite 125 sobes), and Cove's staff were very accomodating of my gear. Large rinse tank, and constant reminders to divers not to use to rinse masks or gear. This was true for both the shark and other dives.
