Overall a disappointment. Between the boat grounding on the reef and
bending the rudder, fairly heavy seas, and other problems, we missed almost
half the dives that were planned. I understand that the problems
necessitated some of that, but I think the attitude was to find any excuse
not to dive, rather than work to find a way to get dives in. Dove at Long,
Conception and San Salvador Islands; the latter had some good sites, but we
didn't stay there long. The walls were nice, but overall there really
weren't too many fish anywhere. A few sharks, lots of stingrays, and some
groupers. The rooms weren't bad, and the food was good. A disorganized
operation and mediocre diving, but perhaps worth the price if you got all
the dives in.
