An excellent vessel for "serious" divers who want to see parts of the Great Barrier Reef that others don't get to. The boat was adequately spacious for all guests to be comfortable and although the cabins lacked "en suite" facilities this was not a problem because there were sufficient showers and wash rooms elsewhere. The Australian/European crew of 5 were very friendly helpful and professional. The food was excellent as was the diving the highlight being Osprey Reef where there was an abundance of White Tip and Grey Reef Sharks and many of the largest Potato Cod that one is likely to see. A large Manta Ray was also seen here. The reefs are in good in condition with a great variety of fish and no shortage of macro subjects.A particular feature of this vessel is that it carries out Nautilus and Shark research and so a Marine Biologist was on board and gave relevant and most interesting lectures between dives most afternoons. If you want to dive the GBR do it from this boat. |
