Turneffe Island Lodge is a great getaway. Loved the accommodations (book a
cabin) and low key atmosphere of the resort. The dive setup was
fabulous--everything is taken care of for you.

Unfortunately, even though we delayed our trip til the end of March to
avoid potential weather, we got it anyway. And it pretty much lasted all
week. We weren't able to dive the Elbow for a few days due to visibility.
None of the dives had good viz as a result of the weather. Nonetheless we
saw lots of turtles (huge) and all kinds of rays (except manta). And the
tiniest drums.

In spite of the weather, it really was a wonderful place to spend a week
and amazingly enough we still really enjoyed the diving. Maybe next time
we'll have perfect weather and it will be lobster season.
