[None]THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO THE JULY ARTICLE ON TOBAGO. I THOUGHT ONLY A
TRAVEL AGENT COULD HAVE WROTE THAT REPORT. #1 VISABILTY IN TOBAGO IS
GENERALLY POOR BECAUSE OF THE EFFECT OF A MAJOR RIVER RUNOFF IN S.A. YOU
USUALLY HAVE TO DIVE THROUGHT 50 FEET OF PEA GREEN TO GET TO 15 FT VIS.
CURRENTS CAN BE A CHALLENGE. AT LONDON BRIDGE, ONLY 1/4 OF OUR GROUP
COMPLETED THE DIVE BECAUSE OF DANGEROUS CURRENTS (SO STRONG A DIVER HAD
WATER BACKING UP IN HIS REGULATOR). DIVE BOATS ARE LOCAL FISHING BOATS
THAT HAVE NO FACILITES FOR DIVERS. GEAR IS DUMP IN THE CENTER OF THE BOAT
(SOMETIMES IT GETS BROKEN BECAUSE OF THIS).
I HAVE RECEIVED REPORTS FROM OTHER DIVERS WHO REFLECT THE SAME ISSUES
AFTER MY TRIP.
WHAT IS POSITVE? THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN TABAGO, VERY NICE. WHO SHOULD GO?
THOSE LOOKING FOR AN ADVENTURE AND WILLING TO GET THE YELLOW FEAVER SHOTS
PER CDC IN ATLANTA.
