The resort is beautiful. We stayed in a bungalow on the west side of the
key and saw the sun set every night. The food was very good and the
service was exceptional. While the meals are served to you, you always get
to chose what you want to eat, and you can even ask for more than one
option. Once again with trips to Honderas, you have to be prepared for the
"no see ums". Try Cactus Juice(www.cactusjuicetm.com), we found
that to work the best and you didn't smell like chemicals. We found the
resort from above water to be a "5", unfortunately, below the
water was a generous "3". Every morning you had to bring all
your gear on board and set it up(they were nice enough to bring the tanks
on board). The dive sites for the most part were a five munite boat ride
from the resort. We found all the sites to look like one another, except
for the sites on the south side of the island. They were much better, but
the resort didn't seem to want us to go there($$??). They did have there
share of large groupers and snappers, but other than that, it was a
yawner. If you go, make sure you dive Mary's Place. That was the best dive
of the trip. It is a deep dive through giant crevices and the fish life is
good. If you have never seen Seahorses before, this dive site will
definately take care of that need.
