We dove the Sea Breeze / Reef Raiders for two days. We signed up at the
shack on the dock. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Cool T Shirt
with Reef Raider logo, buy one, just wish they had decals for my camera
case. Our resort, the Galleon Time Share, was right on the dock where
boats were moored.

Our first day on the inner reef was our first experience with a dive
operation that took more than 8 people at a time. Being fairly new we have
read a lot of magazine articles about dive operations and comments about
"cattle boats". These articles shied us away from larger
operations.

I guess most magazine reports are written by divers with 500+ dives, like
to dive challenging profiles to 500', in zero viz., one fin and only use
200 lbs of air for a two hour dive. For general good diving and good
amentities, I recommend checking out larger operations. Our first (and
subsequent experiences) were great!

The Sea Breeze main boat is a cat that takes 30 people or so I guess, I
didn't count. There was a mixture of snorklers and divers.
This operation was first class all the way. Good dive briefing, good
location, great consideration of the environment. Boat was in excellent
shape even with a warm water shower, complimentary refreshments, including
beer or wine after you were done diving.

Second day was onto the outer reef for lobster hunting with the same
operation. Took their other smaller boat. Outer reef much more vibrant in
color and better / bigger fish. Didn't catch lobster as we had company of
a large nurse shark. Excellent crew and captain again. Boat was clean,
well appointed and fast. Separate camera tanks and excellent rinse
facilities on the dock.

Both boats had first aid and O2 on board. Very reasonable cost for two
tank dive. Sea Breeze / Reef Raiders is a first class operation that we
recommend to anyone diving in Key West.
