The staff at Buddy Dive and Resort were helpful and friendly. Thanks
Heleen! Good selection of gear and true 24/7 diving available.
Great variety of non-dive activities offered through the dive shop:
mangrove snorkel, kayaking, bicycling. We did only
shore diving, and used the drive-through fill station. All fills were
3100# except one at 2800#. We left the windows down on our Toyota Hilux,
and always returned to find our clothes, mini-first aid kit, coffe mugs,
water, shoes just as we had left them, no matter what time of day or
location we
dived at. Saw turtles, wahoo, tarpon, lots of baitfish, stingray, octopus,
plus the usual tropical suspects in abundance. I expected to
notice more damage from Lenny than I did. Took a resort rebreather course
from Walt at Rec Teck Scuba -thanks Walt. It was great - fish came right
up to you since there are
minimal bubbles from the semi-closed rebreather. We ate at a lot of good
restaurants - the restaurant association now publishes a
guide to restaurant hours and locations which is helpful. Minimal
mosquitos at this time of year. Flew American from Toronto to Miami, Dutch
Carribean (formerly ALM)
from Miami to Bonaire; minimal airport transfer hassles and our luggage
arrived with us. This was a nice relaxing dive vacation.
