I was in the lucky situation to be the only diver during my week of stay.
This resulted in phantastic diving with a penetrations on nearly all
dives. Is according to the dievemasters only possible for fully certified
cave/wreck divers with corresponding equipment.
I was diving with Fabio, Tim, and Ed. All of them are excellent divers and
safety conscious divers. The briefings were excellent, and the dive plans
were followed very well.
The diving, spectacular....We dove the Saratoga (5times) Lamson, Arkansas,
Nagato, Carlisle, Anderson, and Apagon. The diving is deep (down to 52 m),
with penetrations, which are absolute great (lines are everywhere, and
cave diving prctice are followed). There are tons of things to see,
ranging from military stuff (planes, bombs, ammunition) to tableware.
Decompression was done on decompression bars with 9, 6, and 3m using
nitrox (surface supplied, 60 to 70%). My abyss trimix computer quit on me,
resulting in long deco-stops (up to 70 min) by using an aladin air
computer, but this was not bad, as there was quite often entertainment by
sharks and other fish.
The boat crew was quite helpful, and everything worked (except once, when
they forgot to turn on the deco-gas).
The accomodation was clean, and suffcient, with a great view of the ocean
(dialy cleaned with possible laundry service).
The food was plentiful, most of the time tasty. Water etc was free, while
the beer (light) had to be apid at the end of the trip.
Fabio produced also a great videa, which is a phantastic memory (comment,
I think Fabio left, don't know whther Tim is doing now videos).
The travel takes quite some time, and the planes may have some delay.
Luggage is weighted and extra weight costs....
Fishing seems to be also great, as a lucky guy caught a huge marlin
(400lbs +)
